I have been trying to find a sugar cookie recipe that I can use for some upcoming parties. I love how they make the cookies on sticks, so I was playing around yesterday and today trying to see if I could do it. The first batch were some shortbread cookies with really yummy, shiny icing...but the cookies flaked in your mouth. TJ and the kids liked them, but they just weren't what I was looking for, so we tried again today. I found a new recipe and a new icing recipe. They taste better than the first batch, but now I'm not sure the icing will stay cute when I layer them in my container. I'm leaving them out to dry for a few hours, and then we'll see!

Thing 1 & Thing 2 Twins Baby Shower
A fellow party lover friend, Christie, threw her cousin having twins a Dr. Seuss' Thing 1 & Thing 2 baby shower. So cute I had to share!
Pink and Brown 1st Birthday Party
My sister-in-law just hosted a pink and brown cupcake party for her sweet baby girl, Dacey's, first birthday party. She had it all under control, but I did get to help her out with the flower pots.
Let's Get it Started!
I am so excited to get this blog started and under way with all of my party ideas. My site is under construction, but should be up and running soon!
